Building a multi-million-dollar company is no small task; it involves putting a structure in place of systems and procedures that will result in profitability and growth. At AIMM, we help contractors build the necessary systems and procedures to grow their business and become more profitable. We start this process by working with our clients to gain a complete picture of how their business is currently operating.
Once we have gathered the necessary data, we can make quality, objective recommendations about the Client’s business and help them start on the journey to improve their businesses and lives. We call this initial evaluation service the Contractor Assessment.
We begin by collecting data from the company’s owner about their current operation, personnel, systems, procedures, and financial records. We then have a series of meetings to review each area and gain a full understanding of the company’s operations as well as the specific goals and objectives of the owner and other decision-makers.

Business Foundation Program
We focus on getting your business fundamentals on track. A key objective is to improve profitability immediately.
The Business Foundation Program (BFP) is a 12-week intensive business training program. This program will focus on business fundamentals – including operational, financial, and production training. The Client will receive all necessary software, materials, and tools to conduct this training.
The program starts with the deliverables from the Contractor Assessment (CA), where the AIMM Consultant will now have a full understanding of the Client’s current operation, personnel, systems, and procedures. After that, the Client will be trained on using the proprietary AIMM System software to build out the operational elements of their company. These elements include the marketing, sales, and production pipelines, structuring their finances and creating a budget, estimating procedures, organizing, scheduling, and training crews, setting job profit goals, and using the Week At A Glance tool to know how much money is made each day.
A key objective of the BFP will be to improve profitability immediately. The results of the Contractor Assessment will have identified at least one key area where this is possible. The Client and their AIMM Consultant will work on this objective until completion. This will allow the Business Foundation Program to be a self-funding investment.

In any business, whether it’s a landscape contractor or a shoe manufacturer, there are 5 Vital Numbers that track the financial health of the company. Knowing, tracking, and analyzing these 5 numbers is an important step in becoming a true Business Owner. In this workshop, you will learn what the 5 Vital Numbers are, where to find them for your own business, and why they are important. You will learn to use the 5 Vital Numbers to calculate the true financial health of your company, and to help you plan for future growth and profit.
For any company, there is a single factor that drives the profitability of the business. It is often called the Economic Engine, and it is the single most important variable that must be tracked and analyzed to see if the company is doing well or not. In the contracting world, Unit Price or Markup Percentage are very commonly used as the Engine. In this workshop, you will learn why the AIMM System uses Gross Profit, and also adds a time element: Man Days. The real Economic Engine a company should use is Gross Profit per Man Day (GPMD). You will learn how to calculate the GPMD for your company, and why it gives you greater control over the profitability of your jobs and your business as a whole.
Producing the correct price for your work is vitally important for a business. In this workshop, you will learn about the two most commonly used methods of estimating in the contracting world – and why both of them fail to give your business the power to control profitability. Using the AIMM System, estimating by GPMD, you will be able to estimate correctly to ensure that you completely cover your costs and have some profit left over to allow your business to grow and prosper, while also giving your customer the best possible bang-for-their-buck.
Even if you estimate correctly and you know your numbers very well, your company will still not produce good profit if your crew are not efficient. In this workshop, we analyze how efficiency effects your business numbers and profitability. You will learn how to target your production crews and get them to produce efficient and high-quality results. You will also see a demonstration of a software tool exclusive to the AIMM System program – The What If Tool. Using this tool, you can project different scenarios for your company. For instance: What would happen to your business numbers if your crew members worked an extra day each week? What would happen if you hired 2 or 3 more production employees? What would happen if they increased efficiency by 25%? With the What If Tool, you can answer all of these questions, and many more.
Good bookkeeping is the basis of having good numbers for your company. In order for you, the business owner, to make the right decisions for your future, you have to have the right information (data) to base those decisions off of. That is what good bookkeeping does – it gives you the power to control your company’s future. Too many contractors look at bookkeeping as a necessary evil that only allows them to pay the correct taxes at the end of the year. In this workshop, you will learn how your bookkeeping can allow you to take charge of your business and to manage your company numbers for profitability.
The single biggest problem in the contracting world today is labor – getting enough crew members hired, and getting the right crew members who are willing to work hard and efficient. Everyone knows that – but, what many contractors miss is an important question that they should first be asking themselves: “Why do I need more workers?” In this workshop, you will learn why that is an important question, and how to look at your company’s production from a different viewpoint. We all know that hiring is a pain, training is a hassle, and adding more equipment, trucks, and everything else to support a larger crew is all a lot of work. What if there was a better way? Our Members Help Each Other and Compare Programs, Tips and Data.
Now it is time to work with like minded contractors in the same trade but different geographical location.
This is the last step of the program. Once you have the software up and running, have learned the basic principles of the AIMM system, and have a program to move forward, you can join a Peer Groups. Each group has members. Within that group, there will be 3 teams, or each member will have a buddy. You can compare information, successful and failed programs, sales, and marketing tips and financial and production data.
Each buddy will be from a different geographic area but will be in the same basic trade and the same relative size.
An AIMM coach will monitor the bi-monthy meetings. The principal purpose of these meetings is to help one work towards the targets they’ve created for themselves to build a multi-million dollar company. The group members can keep each other accountable for these targets.
There are thousands of documents, checklists, job descriptions, forms to start and complete jobs that can be used and shared.
